The Grounding Blanket is two layers sewn into one throw: a soft polyester fleece on the outside, and a cotton blend inner layer with conductive silver fibre running through it.
The silver carries the connection. It runs through the inner layer, the side that faces you, and links to the earth through the earth slot of a standard earthed power point. That's the same connection that earths every appliance in your home.
It comes in two sizes. The 127 × 152 cm covers your lap and legs on the sofa, and the 152 × 203 cm covers an adult head to toe or lies across a single bed.
The cord makes setup easy. Clip it to the connector at the edge of the blanket, plug the other end into the earth slot, and the connection is made. No electricity runs into the blanket.
Spread it out and that's it. A simple way to bring grounding indoors.

Your House Is Already Earthed
Somewhere outside your home, a metal stake runs down into the soil. Your wiring connects to it. It's there so stray electricity always has a safe path back into the earth. Most Australian homes have one, though some older houses still have unearthed power points.
The Bottom Slot Is the One That Matters
Have a look at any power point in the house. The two angled slots on top carry the power. The straight slot underneath is the earth, and it leads to that same stake in the soil outside.
Your grounding cord only ever connects to that bottom slot. No power runs through it, and the connection is there whether the switch is on or off. The blanket is simply connected to the earth outside, the same way the rest of your house is.
Skin Conducts Electricity
Skin conducts. It's why a static shock jumps from your finger to a door handle after you've walked across a carpet.
Anything that conducts can hold a static charge. Connect it to something earthed and that charge has somewhere to go. Stand barefoot on wet grass and the same thing happens on its own.
