This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from groundingsoul.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Who We Are

What We Collect

Information you give us

When you place an order, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number and payment details. If you sign up for our emails, we collect your email address. If you contact us, we keep the messages you send and our replies.

Information we collect automatically

When you browse the site, we automatically collect your device type and browser, your IP address, your general location based on that IP address, the pages you look at, how you arrived at our site, and how you move around it.

What we don't collect

We never see your full card number. Payments are handled by Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay, who process card details directly. We don't ask for health information, and please don't send it to us.

How We Use It

We use your information to:

• Process your order, take payment and get your package to you
• Send order confirmations, shipping updates and tracking
• Answer your questions and handle returns
• Send you marketing emails, if you've signed up for them
• Understand how people use the site so we can improve it
• Detect and prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations

Cookies and Tracking

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep your cart working, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used.

We use these services, each of which sets its own cookies:

Shopify runs our store, processes orders and handles checkout.

Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and where they came from. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, including checkout, won't work properly without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using their browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Who We Share It With

We share your information only with companies that help us run the business:

• Payment processors, to take your payment securely
• Our fulfillment partner and shipping carriers, to pack and deliver your order
• Shopify, which hosts the store
• Klaviyo, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, as described above

We may also share information if the law requires it, if we need to enforce our terms, or if the business is sold or transferred.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some of the tracking above may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. See the California section below for how to opt out.

Marketing Emails

If you sign up, we'll send you emails about our products and offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click takes you off the list. You'll still get transactional emails about orders you've placed.

How Long We Keep It

We keep order records for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal reasons, which is generally seven years. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to each provider's retention settings.

Your Rights

Wherever you live, you can email us at support@groundingsoul.com to:

• Ask what information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct something that's wrong
• Ask us to delete your information
• Unsubscribe from marketing

We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify who you are before we act on a request.

Your California Privacy Rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you specific rights.

Categories we collect. In the last 12 months we've collected identifiers (name, email, address, phone, IP address), commercial information (what you bought), internet activity (browsing and interaction with our site), geolocation data (approximate, from your IP address), and payment information processed by our payment providers.

Where it comes from. Directly from you, automatically from your device as you use the site, and from our service providers.

Why we collect it. To fulfill orders, provide support, run marketing, analyze site performance and prevent fraud, as described above.

Your rights

• Right to know. Ask us what personal information we've collected, where it came from, why we have it and who we shared it with.
• Right to delete. Ask us to delete personal information we hold, subject to exceptions such as completing a transaction or meeting a legal obligation.
• Right to correct. Ask us to fix inaccurate information.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We don't sell your information for money, but our advertising and analytics cookies may count as sharing. You can opt out by emailing us, by adjusting your cookie settings, or by using a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honor automatically.
• Right to limit use of sensitive information. We don't collect sensitive personal information as the law defines it.
• Right to non-discrimination. We won't charge you more, give you worse service or refuse to sell to you because you exercised any of these rights.

How to make a request. Email support@groundingsoul.com with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line. We'll confirm within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why.

Authorized agents. You can have someone make a request for you. We'll ask for written proof that you gave them permission.

Children

Our store is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us their information, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, and our store runs over an encrypted connection. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously.

International Transfers

We're based in Australia and our service providers operate in the United States and elsewhere. Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own.

Changes to This Policy

We'll update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
